Award in Basic Hazard Management for Emergency & Recovery Services
This qualification is for those who encounter accident-damaged or broken-down Electric / Hybrid Vehicles.
This is a 2 day course consisting of classroom based learning and an online assessment.
A key feature of this course is the need to develop a safe working approach to dealing with Electric / Hybrid vehicles that may have had damage to their high energy system during emergency and recovery situations.
In addition to the Level 1 topics, you will be introduced to how to:
- Reduce the risk of injury when encountering Electric / Hybrid vehicles
- Safely transport and store Electric / Hybrid vehicles
Completing this qualification will give you the additional knowledge of how to work safely in emergency/unusual circumstances. It will not authorise you to maintain or isolate Electric / Hybrid vehicles.
