Award in Electric / Hybrid Vehicle Awareness
The candidates should be interested in gaining the knowledge to work safely around Electric / Hybrid vehicles entering the workplace.
This is an introductory course and is designed to impart the basic safe working practices, the dangers and the precautions required to avoid potential injury when near Electric / Hybrid vehicles in the workplace. This is normally aimed at non technical staff such as valeters, parts, service reception or staff who want a back ground understanding Electric / Hybrid vehicles.
This is a 1 day course which consists of classroom based learning and an online assessment, and introduces:
- Types of Electric/Hybrid vehicles
- Hazards associated with the high-energy electrical systems used
- Approaches to safe working with Electric / Hybrid vehicles, including charging
This qualification will give you the core knowledge of acting safely. It won’t authorise you to maintain or isolate Electric / Hybrid vehicles.
